This large Scandinavian style inspired articulated pike fly is tied with a 4/0 back hook and a Flymen Fishing Company 40mm Big Game Shank front articulation. The materials used in the fly is bucktail and flashabou which not only gives the fly bulk but also amazing movement and flash in the water. The fly is finished with epoxy eyes which are known to be triggers for pike and other predatory fish.
Ideally fished on an intermediate or sinking line with a #9-weight rod but can also be fished in the upper water column with a standard floating line.
The darker colour of this fly is ideal in stained water or low-light conditions.
